About Us
About Us is the page where you write in more detail about your company and business. Focus on your strongest points, whether history, licenses, or awards.
Metairie Humane
.
The Mission of Metairie Humane is to place homeless or abandoned dogs and cats in loving, permanent homes; as well as to provide a caring environment for animals awaiting placement as a result of the high kill rate at local pounds and shelters.  Dogs and cats under the care of Metairie Humane are not selected by breed, age, or gender, nor are they disqualified due to medical status.
Unadoptable animals due to age or infirmity are cared for long term by Metairie Humane with dignity and consideration.
Metairie Humane also attempts to rehabilitate and provide remedial training to dogs and cats that lack the social skills to be considered for adoption.
Unadoptable animals are provided with long term care in a loving environment.
In addition to these services, Metairie Humane actively promotes and facilitates the spaying and neutering of dogs and cats for health, social and overpopulation prevention reasons.
Metairie Humane also provides educational services to encourage responsible and caring relationships with pets.  All of these services are provided to the public as a result of donated supplies, funds, and volunteer efforts.
